Fake IEC lead, failed our test on earth continuity, very important when plugged in to a class 1 appliance, if the item goes wrong and you touch it you will get an electric shock asthere is no earth cable inside this lead.
Beware of fake fuses. They explode, can cause fires etc. if you pull the ends off the fuse wire is tucked under the caps. often wrong colours. Often a sign that the appliance they are fitted to is also fake & potentially dangerous
Warning look at these two plugs the left plug has insulation on the earth pin. when plugged in there is no contact with the earth in the socket, these will usually have fake fuses also and about 0.1mm copper wire instead of 1mm . We are finding lots of these. I even found one for sale in a shop this week. Lethal. Do not use!
Warning plastic can become brittle in certain circumstances X4 ac adaptors left on for a long period degrading the plastic, it crumbled like sugar. ALWAYS turn the power off at the socket before inspecting equipment.
Warning VERY dangerous plug. on the right you will see the plug has no fuse. the pins are so close to the edge of the plug you could easily touch them when removing the plug and they don't have insulation on the live and neutral pins. If you see one destroy it before it kills or causes a fire
